  1. The hotter you hot tub water gets the more bacteria you grow. In 100 degree spa water, bacteria doubles every 20 minutes

  2. Heat causes Carbon Dioxide to become less soluble in water forcing it to gas off.

  3. Spa aeriation and venturi air injection (the bubbles in your hot tub) elimate carbon dioxide. This can cause your pH to rise making your water cloudy and cause possible scale formation.
