This is a great question. Relaxing in a hot is great and so much fun but soaking in a hot tub too long can be a problem. Studies show you should only soak in a hot tub for up to 20 minutes at a time. I have heard some people say that if you stay in a spa too long it can cook your insides. That’s false! All hot tubs now have a max temperature of 104 degrees to prevent this sort of thing from happening. By staying in a hot tub too long you can get heat exhaustion and you allow your body to be longer exposed to bacteria in the water which is never a good thing. So a quick rule of thumb for hot tub safety.

Only Soak in your spa for 20 minutes at a time.
