Some most states, townships or cities require you to install a safety fence around your swimming pool, but let’s face it you should have one anyway. A pool safety fence is not only important to protect the lives of your own family and friends but to others as well. Even animals or other humans that may stray into your backyard, by getting a safety fence installed it can save you a lot of liability.

Above Ground Pool Safety Fence

If you have an above ground pool or getting one installed then it’s very important to get a fence. Most areas first require you to have a fenced in yard before you can even get a pool installed. From there you can get a fence installed around the top of your swimming pool so no one or thing can climb up and into your pool. Also you should get a fence around your entry system. If you have a deck with a ladder that drops down or is stationary you should get a fence that sounds that with a gate that locks. As we said before most areas require this to even get a pool installed but even if they don’t it would be wise to install them yourself to protect your family or anything thing else.

In-Ground Pool Safety Fence

If you ask me, if you have an inground swimming pool then there should be no question about getting a pool fence, even more so than if you had an above ground pool. Getting into an inground swimming pool is much easier than getting into an above ground pool for the simple reason that with an inground pool you don’t have to do any climbing to get in. And think about during the night, if you have something or someone walk through your backyard they could go right into your swimming pool and drown without even seeing it.

Although it may sound like we are trying to just sell you pool fencing by all means we are not. We are simply stating facts about swimming pool safety and provide reasons as to why you should protect yourself and others as your civic duty.
